November Recipes

By: Lena Forbes and Avery Ducar

After baking our delicious treats in the last issue, we have decided to make this a recurring article. Here are some ideas of baked goods that you can bring to your Thanksgiving gatherings!

Cinnamon Coffee Cake

4.5/5 Stars

This cinnamon coffee cake was amazing! I had to make it twice because it was difficult to make. This recipe makes a lot of batters, so make sure you don't overfill your pan. I didn't put walnuts in my cake. This is the perfect cake to enjoy on a cold day with a cup of coffee or hot cocoa!

Pumpkin Brownies

4/5 Stars

These pumpkin brownies were super easy to make, but they definitely had a different taste than I was expecting. They only require two ingredients: a brownie mix and one can of pumpkin. This did result in a bit of a denser brownie that I didn’t like initially, but once I knew what to expect, they were delicious. I would definitely recommend this quick and yummy recipe next time you are craving something sweet!

Baked Apple Slices

4/5 Stars

Apples, cinnamon, and sugar always come together to make the perfect fall treat. This recipe was an easy way to combine all three ingredients without going through all of the efforts of baking an entire pie. In the future, I will definitely be experimenting with this simple treat by adding some oats or enjoying it with ice cream!
